This charming Caltagirone Decorative Plate, Plastico Sofia Green and Orange, Ø 30 or 40 cm brings the Caltagirone tradition of ceramic relief to a decorative plate full of vitality: around the smooth center runs a crown of yellow-orange scrolls in relief, with green leaves and beads, shaped by hand; in the center a yellow-orange flower is painted in a green medallion, and on the rim there are scrolls of green leaves. They are inspired by the classic style of Caltagirone ceramics from all eras, made with unique glazes that recall the origins of the oriental world in which the colors were produced by the fusion of kaolin-based glazes. The manufacturing process that leads to the creation of our ceramics is divided into six important phases:
Turning, Drying, First firing, Enamelling, Decoration and Aging .
