This Caltagirone Bummulu Malandrinu (Sicilian trick jug), Stars Line Mono Blue is the jug of the Sicilian tradition, shaped and decorated by hand: a drop-shaped body on a flared foot, a ring handle, a small spout on the shoulder and a pointed top. The ivory ground is covered with rayed stars painted in blue, alternating with small clusters of dots; the top and the foot have blue bands, leaves and volutes. It is 25 cm (9¾") tall and can be filled with water, wine or other drinks.
