The Plastico Sofia Cachepot, Mother of Pearl, Gold and Lustre is shaped and decorated by hand by Ceramiche Sofia in Caltagirone. The round-bellied body, with a flared rim, has an antique mother-of-pearl surface, ivory with gray veils; below the rim runs a frieze of volutes and lilies modeled in relief, with amber-colored spheres and small gold spheres. The rim and the foot are finished in copper-colored lustre.

They are inspired by the classic style of Caltagirone ceramics from all eras, made with unique glazes that recall the origins of the oriental world in which the colors were produced by the fusion of kaolin-based glazes. The manufacturing process that leads to the creation of our ceramics is divided into six important phases:
Turning, Drying, First firing, Enamelling, Decoration and Aging .
