Head h 25 monochrome turban by Blu - Ceramiche di Caltagirone Sofia
The Moor's Head, a distinctive symbol of Sicilian craftsmanship, finds a new expression in the elegant monochrome of blue, a color that evokes the sea that surrounds the island. This particular version, 25 cm high, is made in the historic ceramics of Caltagirone, a city renowned for its thousand-year-old ceramic tradition. The result is a masterpiece of art and craftsmanship that combines the depth of blue with the iconic shape of the Moor's Head, creating a decorative object with timeless charm.
Each of these heads is the result of the work of expert craftsmen, who model, paint and fire each piece with dedication and skill, following techniques handed down from generation to generation. The monochrome blue decoration is not only an aesthetic choice, but also a tribute to the vastness and beauty of the Mediterranean sea, an essential element of Sicilian culture.
The choice of blue as the only color to decorate these dark brown heads makes each piece unique, a real jewel that can enrich any environment, from the modern home to the elegant office, bringing with it a piece of Sicily and its sea.

100% artisanal ceramic
For almost 20 years Sofia La Maiolica of Caltagirone has been involved in the artisanal production of unique majolica pieces, decorated and modeled by hand. They are inspired by the classic style of Caltagirone ceramics from all eras, made with unique glazes that recall the origins of the oriental world in which the colors were produced by the fusion of kaolin-based glazes. The manufacturing process that leads to the creation of our ceramics is divided into six important phases:
Turning, Drying, First firing, Enamelling, Decoration and Aging .
For each of these phases we dedicate the utmost care to every detail so that the final product is the result of a unique, inimitable and unaltered work over time. The main feature of purchasing a non-industrial product is precisely this: owning a unique product .
